iPad Smart case study

Introduced surreptitiously in the Apple Store MacBook new introductions and updates to hardware, the Smart case is last official option of Apple iPad protection. He collaborated together foldable Smart cover of the year with shell last rubbery touch to defend the other half of Prime Minister of Apple tablet. The case fits the retina display-bridged new iPad and the iPad 2, so we decided to catch one to protect our slab of iOS. Does work? Well, it has certainly protects the tablet of the keys, change of alternative and other sharp objects, however, because its made two slightly different size of devices, he has not adjusted as as we hoped, with a broad rim especially around the front, reducing the sensation of premium of the Rabat before Smart Cover-esque. It is always worth the $50 price tag? Is a little more difficult to say, so check some impressions more and our verdict after the break.

The new complete coverage is very touch - the matte finish is easy to grasp and while we do not intentionally put our iPad in danger, the same finish helped disguise any hollow, he has appeared for the moment. The range of colours offers something a little more visually stimulating than the monochrome hues of the hardware itself - the Red case, we chose really pop.
The front of Rabat behaves like the Smart Cover we have seen before, although this time it is connected to the rest of the envelope. The flap folded behind the Tablet without pain, while the tablet can still be flat on any surface. It also folds to form a landscape stand for your tablet, although because of the rubbery construction from the rest of the case, there may be a little give when it is mounted. We have also been unhappy with the heavy border who solves the case on the device, we thought it felt much less strong in the angles to the holding of the autonomous iPad and makes the thing a little flat.
To its detriment - and no doubt because it is compatible with two different iterations - it is also a space between the top of the case and the iPad. This means that the case does not as closely to the Tablet as we'd like to - you can rely on the case at the top when it held on our new iPad. The edges of the top and bottom bend slightly when energized a little, although never, we thought that the device would be sliding on. There are some pleasant details on the back of the case with physical buttons locked but still sensitive to the press of button, printed on both sides of the volume toggle icons. Also, due to the arrangement of these, the port of loading and the camera, the case is just on your iPad in the direction a - as a typical book.
If you're not sold on light Smart flexibility, or unusually heavy this rim, there are several other capable cases and combinations of case-cover there. Speck and Incipio have options to cover all of your iPad and is worth watching to the expenditure for the official Apple option. However, the pairing as a Smart Cover of Incipio feather Smart Ultralight case Total $74 - more than the standalone Smart case.
